About Us:

A2Z Disco Roadshow consists, mainly of Leigh Preece - who both owns and operates the organisation, supported by his wife, Dawn Preece who looks after the administration side of the business and other associates who work with us from time to time.

Leigh has been DJing for over 25 years, starting at the age of 11 behind the decks of a youth club 'twin turntable' system - playing Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" back then - so you get some idea of when he started back in the 1980s.

Leigh's ridiculously large music collection was also born at this time - on vinyl back then and now on CD and digital - and it now stretches to over 250,000 tracks that he can remember and many more he has forgotten - and while he doesn't bring every track with him - he does carries more than enough to please any audience.

Never having lost the DJ bug, Leigh DJ'ed during his college years, gave up when he met his partner and now wife, Dawn, and started to DJ again at a local pub once again just after they met. Dawn realised that she had married a DJ even then!

The arrival of a first child, James, saw an end to the DJing and nappies, etc, taking over, until the offer of more DJ work from his cousin - with the 'KGB Mobile Disco' - saw Leigh back behind the decks once again - that was back in 1998 after his second child, Lucy, arrived - and he hasn't stopped since.

Recently Leigh has become the 'resident' DJ at a local Community Centre here in Stoke, taking care of the 'Family Nights', private functions, Rock N' Roll Night and all Children's Parties.

Add to this his work on radio, both RSL, Community, Hospital Radio and 'other' radio stations both online and otherwise, and work in the media.

For more variation, combine this experience with his career in Audio Visual Engineering, where he has supported both large and small corporate conferences - where he even DJ'ed twice for the likes of Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, Charlie Dimmock and the designer John Rocca - that was some party - especially watching top celebrities doing the Timewarp and messing up the YMCA!!!

2005 saw A2Z Entertainment being established and investment in our own Mobile system after an increasing demand for Children's Parties and Private Bookings.

We are still resident in one venue here in the city but can also operate mobile after increased enquiries from people who have seen us in action and want us to be the 'Party DJ' for their event or at their venue.

As for the future - well - who knows - as long as he is still enjoying the DJing and collecting the music, Leigh and A2Z will carry on.
